Caring for Your Poly Lumber Furniture

Caring for Your Poly Lumber Furniture

Poly Lumber furniture is durable, fade-resistant, and weather resistant. This means it will never need to be painted or stained and generally requires very little maintenance, making it ideal for outdoor use. When it comes to caring for Poly Lumber furniture to keep it looking bright and beautiful, we recommend that you clean your furniture a couple times a year. It’s super simple and easy to do!

How to clean your Poly Lumber furniture:
  1. Brush away dirt and debris.
  2. Rinse with hose.
  3. Remove stains with a mix of mild soap and water. Scrub furniture gently with a soft bristle brush and rinse well with warm water.
    • Make sure to avoid using strong cleaners and harsh chemicals.
    • If needed, you can use a high-pressure washer, just keep the tip about 16″-20″ away from the furniture to avoid causing damage to the material.
Tips to keep your Poly Furniture looking beautiful:
  • Don’t place pots or items on furniture that will leave stains.
  • Don’t place hot items directly onto the furniture as this may cause it to melt.

Lighter of colors of Poly Lumber may require more frequent cleaning.

If you live in a coastal area, avoid corrosion of the metal fasteners by rinsing it regularly with fresh water.
